Summary: Today’s gospel is one of those crossroads passages – Jesus draws a line by showing us the potential consequences of life in him. Life in Christ has demands. Life in Christ is an either/or. Life in Christ means that you have a loyalty that is above any other human institution: country, corporation, even the family.
