Psalm 139: 1-6, 13-18
O Lord, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you receive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O Lord.
You hem me in–behind and before; you have laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
For you created my innermost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you.
A Thought
God is full knowledge, full power, full love, ever knowing and far above anything that we may be or hope to be while here on earth in this body. We were wonderfully made alive in our mothers womb while God orchestrated his great plan for us to be his children. His thoughts still continue for each of us with his design and purpose for us to follow him. Are you following his son, Jesus Christ? He will lead you to his Father, God the Almighty.
Our Prayer
Father thank you for creating heaven and earth, and for being our creator. You have made us with so much incredible detail inside and out. You have given us purpose, equipped us with your gifts and talents to perform every good and perfect task set before us. You have sent your Son to restore our relationship with you. Your Holy Spirit is here in us to speak to our heart, to guide, to draw, to teach, to comfort, to heal, and to work your will in our lives. Help us to see, hear and do what you have purposed for each of us. You alone are worthy to be praised! Praise your holy name, in Jesus’ name, amen.
