The season of Lent leading up to Easter is a season of preparation, readying ourselves for the celebration of Resurrection. It is a time to focus on growing as disciples…for the Lenten journey calls for attention to the inner self and the working of spiritual disciplines in our lives and in the life of our worshipping community of faith and beyond as we engage the community around us. As we build meaningful relationships with others, we can extend an invitation to experience the “Good News” of Jesus Christ.
Let us anticipate this opportunity of the LENTEN SEASON to grow daily through the reading of God’s Word, prayer and holy conversations with one another. “Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” Luke 2:52 Let us be asking God to use us to influence others with the love of God that they may grow too!
