There are so many lessons that await us in the wilderness! The wilderness wonderings for the Israelites was a transformation process: moving from slavery out of Egypt to freedom and the promised land! They had to be discipled into a new way of life! God gives them a structure, rhythm and direction. (Exodus 14) Every need; God provides! In return they are to FOLLOW, to TRUST and OBEY!
We too, have been born into the slavery of sin and death. Only Jesus can deliver us out of slavery to glorious freedom and promise. First, DELIVERANCE. Then DISCIPLESHIP. “Seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness”…a brand new way of living. Deliverance, discipleship equals transformation. “If anyone be in Christ, they are a new person; the old passes away and a new life has begun.” (II Corinthians 5:17) Then TRANSFORMATION!
We are being transformed day by day by the WORD and SPIRIT. Now with Jesus, you go and make disciples…teaching these disciples to obey all the commands I have given you…” (Matthew 28:19-20)
Ponder anew what the ALMIGHTY CAN DO! In me, in you, in others!
