Isaiah 40: 28-31

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.

A Thought

Although Israel had disobeyed and rejected God, Isaiah teaches by the inspired word of God his promises to redeem and restore his people because of his love and grace for them. We too have all been separated from God because of our disobedience. God has given us his Son, Jesus Christ to redeem us back to a right relationship with Him, our Creator God the Father. Our hope must be fully in our Creator, the everlasting One who never grows tired or weary and his power and understanding no one can fully grasp. When we are weak, we are strong; when we are strong, we are weak; when we fall and stumble, our Lord renews us with the truth of his holy word.  Because of his great love for all of mankind, we can take comfort in knowing if we stand firm in faith, believing and do not give up, we will soar on wings like eagles; we will run and not grow weary; we will walk and not faint.

Our Prayer

Father praise your Holy name! You alone are worthy! All power and glory belong to you! Thank you for your love and mercy given through your Son to all who will believe. We must turn from our wicked ways and serve you our Creator. We ask for your forgiveness and fill us with the wisdom of your Word by the power of the Holy Spirit to enable us to live godly lives filled with your truth, love and grace by the name of Jesus’ Christ, amen.
