Psalm 50: 1-6
The Mighty One, God, the Lord speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to the place where it sits. From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth. Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages.
He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that he may judge his people: “Gather to me my consecrated ones, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.” And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for God himself is judge. Selah
A Thought
God is the Mighty One who created and controls the heavens and the earth to proclaim his righteousness. At his word He will summon the heavens and the earth to gather his people Israel, the consecrated ones who made a covenant by sacrifice with him. Today we have a perfect blood sacrifice of God’s Son, Jesus the Christ to enable all people who will believe and accept his life, death and ressurection to be the children of God living in his righteousness. God will judge all people for he is our judge. We all must give an account to the Mighty One.
Our Prayer
Father thank you that price of all our sins was paid by your Son. Help us to grow in the likeness of you filled with love, grace and mercy that we may know you better. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
