Psalm 19: 1-6
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun, which is like bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from its heat.
We are reminded of just a very small part of God’s awesome work of his hands when we behold the glory of the heavens above the earth. By day and night the heavens speak a message of glory to all the earth without a word said but all can see the magnificent knowledge and power of God our Creator. The sun rises at one end of the heavens and runs its course rejoicing like a champion giving its heat to reveal the beauty of the mighty work of God’s creation for all the world to see.
Father thank you for your message of love and mercy new every morning as we behold the warmth of the sun reminding us of your magnificent power of creation. We desire to rejoice in you as we trust you to lead us to run like a champion for you today. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
