Psalm 19: 8-14
The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statues of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression.
May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing in your sight. O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
A Thought
God is Deity, the Supreme Being, the Devine One, the Creator, the Eternal Perfect One. So, what is the law of the Lord? God is the law. His law can be fully trusted; it gives wisdom to the simple; it is right; it gives joy to the heart; it gives light to the eyes; it is altogether right and endures forever; it is more precious than gold; it is sweeter than honey; it warns those who obey it and gives them great reward; it forgives hidden faults; it keeps from willful sins; it can make us blameless and innocent of great transgression. Let us all receive the message of God’s law through his Word to make us blameless and innocent of transgressions by hiding and meditating on his Word in our heart that we will please Him who is our Rock and our Redeemer.
Our Prayer
Father thank you for being our Rock and our Redeemer. We pray in Jesus’ name that you revive our soul with the words of our mouth and the meditations of our heart to be pleasing in your sight, amen.
