Philippians 2: 5-11
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death–even death on a cross!
Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
A Thought
Jesus Christ submitted himself in total obedience with humility to God the Father–even to his death on a cross. Our attitude and mind should be one and the same as with Christ–in love without complaint or arguing, in humility with the interest of others before our own intrests, in unity of one spirit and purpose as God has chosen for us acording to his good pleasure that we may become blameless and pure as we work out our salvation with fear and trembling as we confess that Christ Jesus is our Lord for the glory of God the Father.
Our Prayer
Father we do confess that we fall very short when it comes to our attitude, humility and our mind being the same as that of Christ. Forgive us and help us to live our lives in unity, obedience to your word for your glory. Teach us to grow in a greater love for you and for others. We claim the blood of Jesus Christ to make us blameless and pure as we confess him, our only hope, as our Lord and Savior, in his name, amen.
