Psalm 133
How good and pleasant it is when brothers live in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s bread, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.
A Thought
One of Jesus’ last prayers was for his believers to be in unity one together in the same manner that He and his Father are one together. Our world today is full of brokenness in our families, our communities, our nation and even in our churches. We must draw near to God to receive his love, our forgiveness, and the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives to be in unity with God and with one another. Then God will give his blessings upon the earth. Thanks be to our faithful God!
Our Prayer
Father we pray for our nation to return to you and to be “One nation under One God united in love”. Send your messengers with boldness and power of the Holy Spirit to reveal the darkness of our sin against you. Humble us before you to receive the forgiveness offered through the Truth of your Son. Start within us, our family, our neighbor, our church, our community, our government to send your Spirit of love, grace and forgiveness that we will receive, believe and live your word in unity together. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
