2 Corinthians 5: 16-19
So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. But therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sin against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
A Thought
When sin entered Adam and Eve through their disobedience, man was separated from God. We all have the opportunity to become a new creation with all our sins forgiven because of what Christ accomplished through his sinless life, death and resurrection. God sent his Son Jesus Christ to reconcile (restore a right relationship) the world back to himself. Then God will no longer count our sin against us. We are back in harmony with God and now we are to be the ministers of reconciliation between God and man through the message of Jesus Christ.
Our Prayer
Father thank you for our new life in Christ and our right relationship with you. We want to live godly lives; do not want to live as the world lives. Awaken us by the power of your Holy Spirit that we will continue to grow in Christ and we will give your message of reconciliation to the world today. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
