Ephesians 4: 1-6
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing, with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit–just as you were called to one hope when you were called–one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all in all.
A Thought
Paul is in jail as he writes to the Christians to live the worthy life in which they were called to keep the unity and peace of the Spirit. All Christian believers are called with the one hope in one Lord, one faith, one baptism and one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. As believers how can be walk in this hope? We must be humble and gentle; be patient with one another in love and make every effort to keep unity of peace by the Spirit of God.
Our Prayer
Father thank you for our hope that is found in you through your Son by the power of your Spirit. Teach us to be humble, gentle, patient with others and to live in unity with love as we will find peace in your Spirit. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
