Psalm 34: 1-8
I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. My soul will boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.
I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look at me are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.
Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
A Thought
God is worthy of all praise whether we are afflicted or whether we are lifted up in joy. We can know that if we will humbly seek God, he will deliver us. So bow down, taste and see while taking refuse in him; he will save you out of all your troubles at just the right time.
Our Prayer
Father we have all had troubles at times; we praise your holy name for always delivering us. You are our refuse and strength. Help us to remember to always humbly seek you and exalt your name with your joy in our hearts–even in the mist of fear or trouble. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
