James 5: 7-9
Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. Don’t grumble against each other, brothers, or you will be judged. The judge is standing at the door.
A Thought
God desires that we be patient, stand firm, and know Christ is coming soon. Our life here on earth is very short. Instead of saving wealth for the last days, place your treasures in heaven by giving generously to others. This life was not designed for our luxury and self-indulgences. Do not grumble, nor judge against one another. The judge is standing at the door. Watch and pray.
Our Prayer
Father, help us to be patient and know that your son is coming soon. Forgive us for living like this earth is our home. Help us to see the needs of others and to be prepared to meet you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
