Job 42: 1-6
Then Job replied to the Lord: “I know that you can do all things; no plan of yours can be thwarted. You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my counsel without knowledge?’ Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know. “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me.’ My ears had heard of you but my eyes have seen you. Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.”
A Thought
How can we ever question the way of God? His ways are so far above any knowledge or understanding that we may never hope to obtain in this life. Job was a righteousness man who questioned God but quickly repented in dust and ashes.
Our Prayer
Father, help us to know that we can trust you in all things. Help us to live in full trust of you, knowing that you provide all we need. Your love and grace is sufficient. We ask and thank you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
