Job 38: 1-7
Then the Lord answered Job out of the storm. He said: Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge? Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me. Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone – while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?
A Thought
When we have so great a God who created all of the heavens and the earth including each of us, why do we prefer to make our own choices without praying and trusting God to lead us?
Our Prayer
Father, we invite you into every aspect of our lives – not only for our salvation and healing. We want to obey and trust you. Forgive us when we do not trust your word above our knowledge and feelings. You are God and your ways are above our ways. Fill us with your Holy Spirit that we will learn to be more like you. You alone are worthy of praise. Thank you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
