Isaiah 25: 6-9
On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all the peoples, a banquet of aged wine–the best of meats and the finest of wines. On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all the faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The Lord has spoken. In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him and he saved us. This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”
A Thought
It is such a comfort to know that our God has made the way possible for us to be reunited not only with all of our loved ones who have passed through the shadow of death by way of the grave, but to be united with Him throughout all eternity. He has prepared a banquet celebration in heaven with the finest of food and wine for each of us. Where there will be no more tears and no more death. we can trust our loved ones to God and trust God to save us. Let us rejoice and be glad.
Our Prayer
Father thank you for salvation for our loved ones and each of us and a home in heaven with you and your Son. We rejoice in you knowing that you have made all things possible. Help us to share this great hope with everyone that we meet. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
