Philippians 1: 8-11
God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus. And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ — to the glory and praise of God.
A Thought
When we stand before Christ Jesus on that final day, we all want to bring much fruit and be found pure and blameless. Paul is wanting us to rejoice and grow in our Christian walk by gaining love and knowledge. God is love and the more we know and obey him, the more we will be able to discern what is right and produce godly fruit. We can gain glory and praise of God on that final day through Jesus Christ.
Our Prayer
Father thank you for making all things possible through your son Jesus Christ. Help us to gain more knowledge of you through your word, the Bible. Fill us to over flowing with love for you and others. Help us to produce fruit in righteousness for you and for your glory. You are our only hope. Praise your holy name. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
