Luke 2: 15-20

When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about the child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The Shepards returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

A Thought

Have you heard the message? Have you experienced the Savior in a personal way? The message is that we have all sinned and our only hope is in forgiveness made possible by the Savior that was born to the young virgin, Mary. We can receive all that we need from God simply by asking in faith, believing, and then lay the treasures of God’s promises in our heart. We can live our lives for God and others here on earth. Then Jesus will return to take us home to be eternally with him in our new home, heaven. No more sin or sickness. Faith no longer needed.

Our Prayer

Father how complicated our lives are without you; how simple it can be when we accept all you have made possible through your son, Jesus the Christ. Help each of us to live our lives holy and complete in trust of you and your word. You will accomplish all things on our behalf when we rely on you. Thank you for my salvation made possible through Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. Praise your name forever. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
