As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are given another year, seeking to follow Him more closely; longing, desiring, beholding, with our lives centered on Jesus.To be a disciple, and to make disciples, we need only to look to Jesus as the greatest example.
Reading through God’s Word of the life of Jesus will reveal the heart of the One who so loved the world. “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2) We not only have the revealed Word of God; we also have His Spirit abiding within. The disciples had the privilege of walking with Jesus…but even greater, we have the Holy Spirit within to provide everything we need to proclaim the name of Jesus. God chooses to work in and through our lives reflecting His presence in the world so that everyone may have opportunity to know and receive Him.
