Isaiah 62: 1-5
For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow. You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God. No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah, for the Lord will take delight in you, and your land will be married. As a young man marries a maiden, so will your sons marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over a bride, so will your God rejoice over you.
A Thought
God will never be satisfied until Zion and Jerusalem will be brought back unto his salvation and righteousness. Then all the nations will see their glory and they will be the delight of the Lord. The people of Israel will be brought back to their homeland united together in Palestine and God will rejoice over them as a bridegroom rejoices over this virgin bride.
Our Prayer
Father today we pray for your people of Israel and that our nation of America will always stand with your people. Thank you that you not only have promised to restore Israel but also to bless all who will bless Israel. In Jesus’ name we ask. Amen.
