1 Corinthians 12: 27-31a
Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? But eagerly desire the greater gifts.
A Thought
As believers we are all apart of the body of Christ, the church. We should desire spiritual gifts and seek how to use our gifts to be a working part of the church. All believers should work together to grow in love, grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior. We are to represent Jesus to the world and spread the knowledge of the truth of Jesus Christ. Remember God has appointed what part of the body we are to be and he will equip us as needed.
Our Prayer
Father thank you that you have placed us together as your church. Thank you for our pastor, lay leader, administrators, teachers, prayer warriors, and all your many workers in our church. Help us to seek your Spirit in a greater way that we will be more effective in all we do together to produce fruit for your kingdom. We ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.
