Psalm 71: 1-6
In you, O Lord, I have taken refuse; let me never be put to shame. Rescue me and deliver me in your righteousness; turn your ear to me and save me. Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of evil and cruel men. For you have been my hope, O Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth. From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you.
A Thought
God alone is worthy of praise; God has rescued and delivered me in his righteousness when I did not deserve to be saved. As far back as my memory will take me, God has always been with me. He has placed godly people around me all my life. God is my Savior and my hope; I place my confidence in this life and the life to come in Him. Praise the name of the Lord.
Our Prayer
Father help others to know the love that you have for them. Thank you that you have created and brought each of us from our mother’s womb. Help us to place all of our faith, hope and love in you. May we bring glory and honor to your name and grow to be more like you. In Jesus’ name. Thank you. Amen.
