1 Corinthians 13: 8-13

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

A Thought

When we see God face to face we will be made perfect; there will be no need for prophecy, tongues, knowledge because the imperfect things will not be needed. We can not see the whole picture clearly in the world today; therefore, we need to operate with the tools that God gives by his Spirit to do the ministries he has called each of us to perform. Three things will always be at work: Faith, hope, and love. We all should desire Spiritual gifts and always operate them in love, which is the greatest gift we can have.

Our Prayer

Father help each of us to desire your Spiritual gifts and to use them with love for your glory and to bring honor to you name. Help us to use what faith we have been given to bring hope to our world today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
