1 Corinthians 15: 20-26
But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own turn: Christ the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
A Thought
Death was brought to all mankind by the disobedience of one man, Adam. In the same manner a resurrected life is made possible through the obedience of one man, Jesus Christ who was fully God and fully man. Christ will destroy all the works of the devil; his dominion, his authority, his power and finally death. Christ is now seated at the right hand of the Father making intersection for our sins and making our resurrection possible.
Our Prayer
Father thank you that Christ was able to accomplish all things to bring us back in right relationship with you. Thank you that when the end comes we will be resurrected to live forever in your kingdom with you. In Jesus name. Amen.
