Psalm 91: 9-11
If you make the Most High your dwelling–even the Lord, who is my refuge–then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
“Because he loves me,” says the Lord I will rescue him; I will protect him for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation.
A Thought
It is good to be reminded of these great promises that God has made to each of us who will make the Lord God our dwelling place. Trails will come our way, but we can find refuge in the shadow of the Almighty when we remember to call on him. God has commanded his angels to guard and protect us from harm. He will show us his salvation and give us a long, eternal life.
Our Prayer
Father help us to remember to call to you in our time of need, knowing you have provided all that is need. Thank you for being our safe dwelling place with your angels watching over us. Your gift of salvation has provided protection and eternal life if we will believe, trust, and obey your word. We love you and desire to be your disciple. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
