Romans 10: 9-13
That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile–the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
A Thought
When we believe in Jesus and confess our sins, we will be saved. Not all the Israelites accepted the message of the “good news” of Christ even though God desires that everyone would believe and be saved. We must tell others so they may hear, and have the opportunity to believe and be saved. When we believe, we are justified by Christ and will not be put to shame: When we do not believe we will receive judgement for our sins. We must reach out to everyone in hope of their salvation.
Our Prayer
Father we believe “Jesus is Lord” and that you have raised him from the dead. Thank you for our salvation. Help us to confess with our mouth to teach others to believe and accept you for their salvation. In Jesus’ name we ask. Amen.
