Discipleship is a journey of walking with Jesus everyday. We get to know Him through reading His Word, prayer, worship and fellowship with those who are following Jesus. When we abide in Him and He in us, our lives become an open invitation for others to see and meet Jesus. After all, our lives may be the only Bible that others read.
This church season of Lent provides us the opportunity to walk with Jesus all the way to the cross. Just as Jesus was led by the Spirit, may we too seek to be led by the Holy Spirit through these 40 days, with this attitude of prayer. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:10) There is no greater joy than to have a clean heart and be in right relationship with Jesus. Let us ask Him to lead us and teach us as we seek to follow Him in the days ahead.
