Revelation 5: 11-14

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousands times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they sang:

“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing:

“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!”

The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

A Thought

John has now been given a vision of the throne of God in heaven. A mighty angel asks who is worthy to open a sealed scroll but none was found worthy until John sees a slain Lamb standing in the center of the throne. When the slain Lamb takes the sealed scroll, all the angels sang in a loud voice praises to the One who is worthy–our Savior, Jesus Christ. Then every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth, on the sea and all that is in them was praising God and his Son confirming that, “Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”

Our Prayer

Father thank you that your Son is able through our repentance to redeem us from our sins and you have our names on the sealed scrolls that Jesus will reveal at the appointed time. You alone are worthy to be praised, in Jesus name, amen.
