Revelation 3: 19-22
Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
A Thought
In Revelation 2 and 3 we find the messages given to John in a vision by Jesus Christ for the seven churches of John’s present day-“what is now”. It appears that the churches have not changed very much over the last 2000 years. God’s message is probably the same for our different churches today as it was then. Jesus is trying to prepare all churches to repent and be ready because He is coming back soon.
Our Prayer
Father help us to receive your rebuke and discipline. Help us to repent and overcome the cares of this world. Help us to hear what your Spirit is saying to our church of today and be ready for your soon return. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
