Psalm 107: 1-9, 43

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say this–those he redeemed form the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south.

Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle. They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away. They cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

A Thought

Most of us try to find our own way by making choices revolved around ourselves. We usually find ourselves in distress with our lives wasting away before we cry out to the Lord for his help. The first step to finding God’s unfailing love is to realize we are hopelessly lost without him. We must humble our self in repentance to accept the strait and narrow way provided to God through his son, Jesus Christ. God will fill us with his Holy Spirit to satisfy our hungry soul with good things. This is available to all, from east and west, north and south. God is worthy to be praised.

Our Prayer

Father thank you for providing your unfailing love that endures forever. Help us to center our lives around you and others; help us to be hungry and thirsty for our personal walk with you. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
