Psalm 71: 1-6
In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame. Rescue me and deliver me in your righteousness; turn your ear to me and save me. Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go; give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress. Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the wicked, from the grasp of evil and cruel men.
For you have been my hope, O Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth. From my birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you.
A Thought
Sometimes it may seem that the whole world has turned against us, including our friends and family. God has promised to never leave nor forsake us. God is our refuge and safety. If we have sinned, we must confess to him our sin and receive our right relationship filled with hope and praise for our Sovereign Lord. If you still need an encouraging word, get a bible with the words of Christ written in red. Ask God in prayer to reveal himself to you with comfort in a mighty way. Only read the words of Christ in red and know that he is speaking his love and hope to you.
Our Prayer
Father you know the needs of our life before we even ask. You desire for us to talk to you in prayer and for you to speak to us through your word of truth, the Bible. Thank you for always being our rock of refuse. We give you thanks and praise, in Jesus’ name, amen.
