Hebrews 13: 15-16, 20-21
Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise–the fruit of lips that confess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
A Thought
The blood sacrifice of Jesus has made full access to God the Almighty available to all believers. Jesus is our great Shepherd who will equip us with everything that is good to accomplish his will in our lives as it pleases and brings glory and honor to him. Now God wants his followers to offer him the fruit of our lips filled with praise, confessing our love for him to others, and doing good for others always willing to share what God has provided to us. God is pleased when we make sacrifices of love.
Our Prayer
Father thank you for your blood covenant through your son, Jesus Christ. Equip us with your power of the God of Peace to continue the work of Christ Jesus to bring others into a right relationship with you and bring glory and honor to his name. We ask that you receive a sacrifice of praise from our lips of clay. Help us to be willing to share and to do good to all that we meet, in Jesus’ name, amen.
