Psalm 119: 97-104
O, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long. Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me. I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes. I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts. I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word. I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have taught me. How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path.
A Thought
The law of the Lord is perfect making wise the simple. All who submit to God’s word as the truth and meditate on it day and night, will be wiser than their enemies, have more insight than their teachers. If we will obey its’ teachings, we will not go down evil paths because we will hate where they will take us. Enjoy the sweetness of God’s word every day in meditation and obedience to it. Never give up; God will always honor his word.
Our Prayer
Father thank you that your word is truth filled with your love, wisdom. Help us to study your word to gain wisdom, knowledge and understanding of how to live our lives at peace with you in a world filled with darkness. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
