2 Timothy 3:12-17
In fact everyone who wants to live a godly life will be persecuted, while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you have learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ Jesus. All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
A Thought
As evil gets stronger in the world, we must study God’s word, the Bible, to help us in faith to never give up even if persecutions come our way. We must continue in what we have learned from our youth taught by others and live by what we are now convinced to be the truth. Remember we were all created by God Almighty who gave his holy Scriptures to equip us with teaching, rebuking, correcting, and his training in righteousness to be fully able to accomplish his good work. Are you equipped to do what God has created for you to do to bring about his good work? Talk to him about it and get busy to bring glory, honor to God by obeying his Word.
Our Prayer
Father thank you for creating each of us with a purpose. Help us to equip ourselves through the truth of your word to accomplish every good work in you. Help us to start with your gift of salvation through repentance. Then, help us to live a godly life and to keep growing in your word. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
