2 Thessalonians 1: 1-4, 11,12

Paul, Silas and Timothy,

To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love everyone of you has for each other is increasing. Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trails you are enduring.

With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act promoted by faith.

A Thought

We are all a part of the family of God, the church. We should always pray for each other that our faith will be growing with a greater love for Christ and each other as we endure trails of everyday life. We have all been called to Christ through repentance; now we need to live according to God’s word that God will find each of us worthy to be a part of the body of Christ.

Our Prayer

Father thank you for our brothers and sisters in Christ. We pray for each other to grow in faith that will enable us to endure the trails of this life. We pray that we will be worthy by the blood of Christ to fulfill the call you have placed on each of us to be your disciple and to make disciples by the power of your Holy Spirit. Thank you for your love, grace and peace given to all of your church. We ask that you strengthen all believers in Jesus’ name, amen.
