Psalm 145: 1-5, 17-21
I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day I will extol your name for ever and ever.
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.
They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
The Lord is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.
My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.
A Thought
We must encourage our children and grandchildren by building their faith in our Savior Jesus the Christ. Tell with enthusiasm and praise of our God who created us: Tell of his glorious slender, majesty, grace, love and watchful care for all who will love him: Tell about the day you first accepted his love through forgiveness of all your sins, what a great joy and peace he filled in your heart: Tell about how it feels to have his Holy Spirit speak to you through his holy word, the Bible. Let every creature praise his holy name forever. Praise the name of the Lord our God!
Our Prayer
Father my heart is full of praise for you! Thank you for the hope that comes through your forgiveness, knowing that you are watching over all who believe in you. Help our desires to be according to your will and purpose for your glory and honor. Come, Holy Spirit, come to each of us that we will be filled with enthuesiasm to be a witness of your wonder and work in our lives. We cry out to you for the wicked who are still walking in darkness, especially our families. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
