Isaiah 65: 17-25
Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.
But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy. I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people; the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more.
“Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; he who dies at a hundred will be considered a cursed. They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people; my chosen ones will long enjoy the works of their hands. They will not toil in vain or bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the Lord, they and their descendants with them. Before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. The wolf and the lamb will eat together; and the lion will eat stray like the ox, but dust will be the serpant’s food. They will neither harm or destroy on my holy mountain,” says the Lord.
A Thought
God will always have a renament of his people Israel who will not bow down to worship any other god. To this group of people God is promising a time when he will rejoice and take delight in them. To the best of my knowledge, this is speaking of a time when Satan will be bound by Christ for 1,000 years. During this time everyone should live a long life in harmony with each other and their work will be blessed by God. God will answer before they call and the people will neither harm or destroy on God’s holy mountain.
Our Prayer
Father thank you that you know the times and the seasons of your creation. Help us to be awaken to the knowledge of the truth of your word and live our daily lives in honor and praise for you while your mercy, grace is available to all who will believe and trust you. We pray for your people Israel to come to repentance through your son Christ Jesus. Help us to be your witness of hope in our world today. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
