Psalm 100
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
A Thought
The Psalms were sung in worship and praise as people entered the courtyards of the temple much like our hymnals are used in worship today. Let’s remember to celebrate the God who made us with joyful worship and praise by singing and rejoicing throughout all generations. Praise his holy name forever!
Our Prayer
Father we give you thanks and praise with joy and singing. You alone are worthy to be praised. Fill our hearts with joy and praise that we can be your children. Thank you for your love and faithfulness to all generations. Prepare our hearts to be ready to serve you with gladness. We love you in Jesus’ name, amen.
