Hebrews 1: 1-3
In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
A Thought
In the days of old God spoke through his prophets by angels, visions, a burning bush, a quiet still voice, but in these last days God has spoken by his Son. Jesus the Christ was with God in the beginning of all creation. God has appointed him heir of all things. Jesus Christ, the exact representation of God’s glory and powerful word, was sent to redeem all people from sin. By the life, death, and resurrection, Jesus Christ is the complete fulfillment of God’s promised Savior and is sitting at the right hand of the Father interceding on our behalf. On God’s command Jesus will return to take his believers back to be co-heirs with Him in heaven. Let’s be on watch and pray for his soon return.
Our Prayer
Father we give you thanks for sending your Son to redeem us from our sin. Help us to be ready for His return to take us home with you. Thank you for making all things possible through Him. We pray that we will be representive of your love and mercy that the world may see you in us and bring glory and honor to you. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
