Psalm 119: 1-8
Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord. Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart. They do nothing wrong, they walk in his ways. You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed. Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees! Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands. I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws. I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me.
A Thought
What a privilege to possess the Bible, the God breathed, inspired, holy living word of God! The Bible tells us how to live our lives in obedience to our Creator that we will be blessed while we keep his statutes and walk in his ways. If we are steadfast, unmovable we will not be put to shame. We must seek God and his will for our lives with all of our heart and God will not forsake us. As we praise God with an upright heart, He will teach us how to obey his righteous laws that are created for our good.
Our Prayer
Father thank you for your Holy Word designed to bring us back in obedience to you. Help us to learn your commands that we may blameless in your sight. Help us never to compromise the truth of your Word, but to seek you with our whole heart in obedience that we may live a pure life doing nothing wrong. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
