Psalm 130

Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord; O Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.

If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared.

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I put my hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning.

O Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.

A Thought

Our whole world is now at the mercy of our God with all needing forgiveness for our sins. We must find our hope in God’s word, the Holy Bible. John is a great book to start reading, believing and then talking to God in prayer. God’s love was given to us in the form of his Son, Jesus the Christ. God’s love is unfailing. Forgiveness with full redemption is available to all, including Israel, who will believe. Watch, wait and pray.

Our Prayer

Father we are humbled; not able to stand on our own. We come asking you to forgive our nation for trying to remove you from our government, our schools, our families and our lives. We are nothing without you–in darkness without life. Come, Holy Spirit, awaken your church to be the light of the world. Take the things that Satan would use to destroy and turn them around for your glory. We ask you in your love and mercy to heal our land. Your are our only hope. In Jesus’ name, amen.
