2 Corinthians 13:11-13
Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints send their greetings.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
A Thought
Paul is closing his letter to the Church at Corinth with instructions that are also wise for our Church of today. Paul had instructed them to deal with the issues of sin by communicating and caring for others with a Christ-like approach. Now he tells them to keep growing toward perfection, live in unity and peace. In closing Paul gives them a blessing of grace, love and fellowship from the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Our Prayer
Father help our Church of today to confront sin in a Christ-like, loving way to keep unity in the body while growing toward perfection in your Word of Truth. Help us to share the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit with all. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
