Psalm 116: 1-2, 12-19
I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy.
How can I repay the Lord for all his goodness to me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people.
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. O Lord, truly I am your servant; I am the son of your maidservant; you have freed me from my chains.
I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the Lord. I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people, in the courts of the house of the Lord–in your midst, O Jerusalem.
Praise the Lord.
I too love the Lord; he heard my cry for mercy when I desired judgement; He filled my cup of salvation to overflowing with his compassion of love and mercy. My grandparents, my mom and dad, all received this same salvation; I now take comfort in knowing that even though they are no longer here with me, I will join them with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that I will leave a path for my children, grandchildren and also you, that will lead each of you to accept this same Savior. This is my reasonable service to continue what God started many generations ago. I can never repay; I must offer praise for He alone is worthy. Praise the Lord!
Yes, Father, you alone are worthy of praise! Thank you for your love, compassion for all people. Send your Holy Spirit to awaken us to your forgiveness and service for others. We love and praise you for all good things. We humble ourselves to you in repentance and praise, asking in Jesus’ name to heal our land, amen.
