Psalm 133
How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows blessing, even life forevermore.
A Thought
God’s plan for us is to first be reconciled back to him and then as brothers and sisters in Christ we are to live in unity one with the other. Jesus prayed to his Father for his disciples just before he faced death on the cross, “that they may be one as We are”. When the Holy Spirit was first given, they were all in unity with one accord. Yes, it is a good and pleasant thing to live in unity!
Our Prayer
Father thank you for our reconciliation made possible through Jesus Christ. Awaken your church to the power of your Holy Spirit that enables us to work in unity as brothers and sisters together, one with you and one with each other. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
