Psalms 99
The Lord reigns, let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake. Great is the Lord in Zion; he is exalted over all the nations. Let them praise your great and awesome name–he is holy.
The King is mighty, he loves justice–you have established equity, in Jacob you have done what is just and right. Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy.
Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who called on his name; they called on the Lord and he answered them. He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept the statutes and decrees he gave them.
O Lord our God, you answered them; you were to Israel a forgiving God, though you punished their misdeeds. Exalt the Lord our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the Lord our God is holy.
A Thought
We need to take time to exalt, worship and praise God for he alone is holy. So often when we are with God, we are in prayer asking Him to do something for someone or for our selves. Recall in your own personal memory of the greatness of our God–something that God has personally done for you when you called on his name. We need to humbly bow down in an act of submission, reverence as we lift up his praises in worship, thanksgiving because he is the holy, forgiving God who will punish our misdeeds if we do not change our ways. Our God is just and righteous all together. Praise his holy name!
Our Prayer
Thank you for being our loving Father who has made all things possible if we will only follow your commands by trusting and obeying you. You are just to punish our misdeeds. We desire to hide your Word in our heart that we will not sin against you. Thank you for answering our prayers. Forgive us we pray in Jesus’ name. We praise you forgiving us for our misdeeds. We exalt you for you are holy! Amen.
