David, the shepherd boy understood and experienced this Gentle Shepherd throughout the span of his lifetime. He also wrote the song of David, “The Lord is my Shepherd, (to feed, to guide, to shield me), I lack nothing. (Psalm 23:1, AMP) As followers of Jesus, every new day is an opportunity to trust the gentle Shepherd, who is all knowing, all powerful and and ever present with us and is leading the way before us.
