Proverbs 6: 16-19
There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.
A Thought
These things that the Lord hates are all tools that can lead into is the tearing down of unity and lack of service one to the other. For God’s children to live in unity and service to each other, we much humble ourselves, speak the truth, serve others in love, hide God’s word in our heart and walk away from evil.
Our Prayer
Father help us to walk in unity with you and our brothers and sisters in Christ. Open our eyes of understanding to the truth of your word that we will humbly walk in love and service to you and others. Help us to keep our mind on you and how to live our lives in your truth and unity. We love and praise you for our perfect example, Jesus the Christ. In his name we thank you, amen.
