Titus 2: 11-14

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope–the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

A Thought

When we accept the grace of God, our lives are being changed from living in ungodly, worldly passions to learning to control ourselves as we wait in hope for the glorious appearing of our Savior, Jesus Christ. This grace is that while we were all in disobedience to God our Father, he gave his Son to shed his blood by his death on a cross to pay the penalty for our sin. This grace will change our lives from wickedness to being eager to do good. This is the only way to be set free from the darkness of this world is to accept the light of Jesus. Be encouraged–Christ is coming back for all redeemed by his blood!

Our Prayer

Father thank you–praise your holy name for your great love for your children. Please continue to teach us by the power of your Holy Spirit how to live godly lives, self-controlled filled with the hope of our Savior’s return. Encourage us with your word filled with your love and grace. We ask in Jesus’ name, amen.
