Wednesday Night Together with pizza and a new format!

Here’s what it will look like (I’m using approximate times where indicated because we’ll need time to move from one place to another.) :

5:00PM – Gathering and outdoor playtime for children. Come at 5 and fellowship while the children play on the playground!

≈5:25PM: Blessing and Dinner

6:00PM: Community singing (Camp meeting songs, Contemporary worship songs, and children’s songs), a time of prayer, and a brief activity or testimony in the sanctuary. All ages!

≈6:20PM: Children, youth, and adults break out into separate groups for a half hour of faith learning. The adults will participate in a Bible study led by Bro. Chuck.

≈6:55PM: breakout activities end and choir practice begins in the sanctuary at 7PM.

This format gives us an opportunity for all ages to be together in fellowship, which is important for adults, children, and youth. It also gives everyone a time to be with their own age for growing in faith.

Here’s how the dinner will work:

On the first Wednesday of the month, dinner will be prepared by either Mt. Pleasant or Vancleave as we used to do. We will alternate each month. The first Wednesday in November will be Mt. Pleasant, the first in December will be Vancleave, and so forth.

On the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Wednesdays, we will do soup and salad dinners. We ask each family to bring either a soup (in a crockpot) or a sandwich plate. This will help minimize cleanup time.

On the 5th Wednesdays, we will have pizza provided by the churches.

We are going to give this a try and see how it works! I hope you all will join us on Wednesday evenings to see how you like the new format!
